Designer Series: Do you remember your first time?

Product design is not only a passion of mine but it is what I am being trained to do. I love it and would love to share some of my abosolute favorites over the course of some time.




These two always are inspiring to me! They always seem like the type of people that were so much fun to be around! Not to mention how awesome they both were at what they did! A while ago I found these links of the Eames lounger being unveiled on the Arlene Francis "Home" show on NBC in 1956. It is awesome to think that this was the first time that people saw this design! I know I am hopelessly in love with it, but I cant help it!

This is from a book based on the design of the lunge chair. It is great! It has some ideation sketching. and all of the models that they went with too.

This is one of my favorite designs of all time. I love everything about it, and it has to be one of the most amazing chairs that I have ever sat in. It seems to be others too. How many movies and TV shows have you seen this in??!?!?!?! There are so many!
