The Walkway over the Hudson

Last week I went to the Walkway Finally! It was finished a few months ago but I have been away at school... Well It was the perfect day! Not too cold and yet not too windy either.

Since before I was born the rail way bridge had been closed. There was a fire on it in the late 1970's and it was never worked on again until a few years ago when they began fixing it up. Now it is still in its final stages ( with minor details) but now you can walk across it, from Poughkeepsie to Highland. It is amazing! you get to see the Mid-Hudson bridge and up towards Kingston N.Y. It was so much fun!

I high recommend it if you are up this way in New York. ;)
